Maine’s Center for Sustainability and Circle of Life Memorial Gardens are teaming up together in search of land that they can permanently call home. Their aligned mission and visions of a more sustainable future allow for a harmonious partnership that will benefit visitors of both organizations. We are seeking 100-300 acres of mature forested and undeveloped land in southern Maine to help us achieve our goals of sustainable and horticultural education, community building, natural burials and perpetually preserving acres of forests for generations to come.

Among the 7100+ cemeteries in Maine, a mere 3.5 of them are considered to be green. None of which are designed as botanical gardens. Your donated land will be a part of a ground-breaking effort to reimagine the deathcare options for Mainers.
